Walkthrough[edit]
- Time to take on another boss after a cutscene focused on Spirits and Aerith.
- Tifa and Cloud will come to Aerith, drawing out the boss of this area, Eligor.
- Eligor can be hard to fight, starting with resistance to Physical attacks.
- Magic is still going to be key in doing damage to this foe throughout the fight.
- The wheels of the chariot will be either immune or taking reduced damage from attacks until late into the fight.
- Continue with the fight until you lower Eligor's health by 1/3, to trigger a cutscene with them dropping a crate into the middle of the area.
- Eligor will be in the air more now, flying around, attacking with some ranged attacks.
- Use the crate to block the incoming attacks.
- From there, watch and wait for when Eligor lands to launch any land-based attacks.
- Otherwise, watch out for it casting Reflect to block incoming magic attacks.
- Wait this out, launching a strong attack as best possible with airborne damage.
- Try to get them to stagger to collapse back onto the ground.
- Getting Eligor to the 2/3rd mark, another cutscene will trigger with Eligor throwing their lance.
- Now, the weaknesses will shift slightly, gaining a weakness to Wind on its wheels.
- Eligor will be moving around, twirling its lance along a side of the chariot.
- Watch out during this time since Eligor will have lances coming down from above as Lightning Lances.
- Getting the Limit Break Planet's Protection can help immensely toward the end of the fight.
- Attacking the wheels is now possible, crippling both or either will significantly contribute to stagger.
