Fray is a video game developed and published by Brain Candy

It was released on June 19, 2012 on Steam, Desura and GamersGate.

Gameplay[edit]

Fray is a game of simultaneous turn-based squad tactics.

You play within the Fray combat module in a Cyberspace derived from the Internet. As squad leader, you have 4 people under your command which you select in order to confront other players’ squads. Each combat immerses the players in the reconstruction of a key place or time linked to one of the main corporations governing our world from 2050 to 2098.

Each game is broken down into turns, with each turn consisting of a phase where each player gives orders to his soldiers and a phase where all of the players participate in their characters’ actions. A turn lasts on average 2 minutes; this time is reduced as the players level up until it reaches a hectic pace after several hours of the game play offered by the development system.

Have you correctly anticipated your opponent’s actions? Have you implemented appropriate tactics, did you forget something in your analysis of the situation, is your arsenal capable of handling your opponent…? Only battle will let you measure your tactical abilities… And one day become champion of Fray.
