"Escape with the Gunman" is an objective in the story mission The Big Score (Obvious Approach) in Grand Theft Auto V.
Walkthrough[edit]
Michael and his Gunman are in the middle of a firefight with the LSPD with a 5 Star Wanted Level. You need to push on forward. Franklin will meet up with them on Alta St. Fight on to the end of the walkway. As you get to the stairs and LSPD Helicopter will appear. Quickly take it down. This can be done with Michael's Special and either a Sniper Rifle or a RPG. Either will make quick work of it. Head on down the stairs. There Michael will meet up with Franklin.
Head on down the next set of stairs to the right. After that it is time to push across the bridge running to the West. Kill off all the LSPD on the bridge then run across. As you start across the bridge another Helicopter will come in. It just does a sweep, but taking it down helps some. Finish off whatever officers are on the far side of the bridge. Stay with your crew here.
Keep to the footpath as you head along it to the West. Another Helicopter will appear to the South. Take it out if possible. It's about now more bad news comes in: Merryweather looks to be on the way.
Look for the stairs to the North on the footpath. Take them up to the level above. Wait a moment before going over the top of the stairs and another Helicopter will be joining the fray. Deal with whatever forces you encounter as you head to the North across this plaza.
On the Northern side of the plaza, t he first Merryweather Helicopter will make its appearance. Immediately get into cover. The reason is simple: Missiles. Take out this helicopter very quickly before it can do any damage to the team. After that get to the Northern side and head on down the stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs, go to the left and deal with the forces there. At least they are a little lighter for the moment. Continue on over to the East and then turn South and go down the stairs there to maximize your cover. After that head into the parking lot at the base of the stairs.
When you get inside the parking lot, you will have 3 LSPD cars come in on the far side. Take them down and keep pushing toward the getaway car. Rush for the getaway car after you deal with the cop cars. Now it is time for some speed.
