Focusing in Grand Theft Auto V allows players to lock on to whichever vehicle they are supposed to be focusing on. This will activate a cinematic camera that will track the car and show it drive around corners and through traffic.
Focus is essentially a lock-on function for when you don't want to lose track of your target in heavy traffic or intense chases.
