Rested XP is a term in the game Marvel Heroes

Definition[edit]

A pool of XP that accumulates while the hero is inactive. When you gain XP from defeating an enemy, you gain an equal amount of XP from the rested XP pool.

Example of how Rested XP Works[edit]

Pretend you have two characters unlocked, Thor and Iron Man.

You've been playing Iron Man for a couple days, leveling him up, and you haven't played Thor at all. When you switch to Thor, he will have a bunch of 'rested xp bonus', meaning that he will gain xp faster for a while when you start playing him. Meanwhile, while you're playing Thor, Iron Man will be getting rested up, so that next time when you play him, he will gain extra xp for a while.

If you're logged out and not playing anybody, both characters will be getting rest xp bonus built up.

Basically it's a way to help you level your other characters faster, or catch up with your friends who play more often than you.

Rested XP Amounts[edit]

  • With a fresh level 1 character, you start fully rested. That should carry you through to about level 8-10 before you run out of rested XP.
  • For a character in the level 10-15 range, fully rested should get you about 2 levels. For 15-30, about 1 level. For 30+, about half a level. (Note max rested XP is still mostly going up -- but you need a lot more XP to level up at the higher levels, so your rested XP doesn't carry you as far.)
  • If you have no rested XP at all, and you stop playing (either you log out, or you play another character), you will fill up your rested XP in 48 hours.
