Shocker is a lot tougher than the bosses you encountered in the Prologue, Living Laser and Green Goblin. It is best to be prepared with medkits
Shocker has 2 attacks: he can shoot an energy beam at you, or he can cause the ceiling to collapse on you, damaging you and knocking you down. Be on the move and use hit and run tactics against him - attack him for a few seconds and move out of the way of his energy attack/avalanche, then go back to attacking him
