A fixed blade knife in Metro: Last Light.
This knife is a melee weapon found in the environment and used by Artyom to kill enemies up close and personal.
The fixed blade knife is characterized by, well, its fixed blade. Unlike, say, a switchblade, the fixed blade was specifically built as one long piece of metal. The blade of the knife does not recede within the handle. This makes it harder to conceal, but also easier to transition from unsheathing to stabbing. Because the fixed blade is one consistent piece of metal and there are no screws or springs in place, it tends to be sturdier than its counterparts.
Finding the Fixed Blade Knife[edit]
Artyom finds this weapon stuck in a table in a Soviet outpost on his way to rescue one of his companions.
It is currently unknown if there are other locations to find similar weapons.
