A scythe vine in Metro: Last Light
A deadly mutant vine which hangs down from ceilings in Metro: Last Light.
The scythe vine may look like a plant, but it is very much sentient. It wriggles and writhes around as it hangs, searching for the heat of a living target and whipping about trying to ensnare its prey.
It hunts using a blade-like protrusion that juts out from its mouth.
Killing a Scythe Vine[edit]
Artyom can kill a scythe vine quite easily.
Simply shoot the neck of the plant, and it will recede back up to the ceiling on which it grows, giving the player time to pass safely beneath it.
