| Direction | How well the Pokemon is facing toward the camera |
| Placement | How centered the subject is |
| Other Pokemon | Additional Pokemon in the shot |
| Background | Points for getting particular shots with notable backgrounds |

A Photo can be ranged 1-4 Stars (Bronze-Platinum)
- These stars are visibly reflected in the Photodex.
