Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is an upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 3, which originally released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on March 20, 2012.

It is a hack and slash/action-adventure game developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo.

Plot[edit]

Ninja Gaiden 3 takes a more introspective look at the Ninja Gaiden mythos, giving players a look into the psyche of protagonist [Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge: Ryu Hyabusa|Ryu Hyabusa]] for the first time. A maysterious masked man incites global war and draws Hyabusa in, at which point he infects him with a mysterious bloodlust contained in his right arm.

Hyabusa gains new, bloodier powers from the arm upgrade and sets out on a journey of revenge and discovery, hoping to stop the war at the same time.

Wii U-Exclusive Features[edit]

The Wii U version of the game features several exclusive modes and characters.

Ayane[edit]

Female ninja and Dead Or Alive regular Ayane appears as a playable character in this version of the game. She receives her own story chapters complete with brand new cutscenes, levels and battles.

She uses her own arsenal of weapons, including short daggers and acrobatic finishing moves.

Weapons[edit]

A variety of new weapons are available for both Ryu and Ayane, including new swords, scythes, hammers and more. Some of this was made available in the original game via DLC.

Ninpo[edit]

New Ninpo magic types are exclusive to Razor's Edge.

Character Progression System[edit]

A new character progression system is split between Ayane and Ryu. It allows players to go more in-depth with their customization, driving the characters down one of several branching character paths.

Co-op Multiplayer[edit]

A new two-player online mode casts players as Ryu and Ayane as they battle against waves of AI-controlled enemies.
