There are a lot of things to discover in No Man's Sky.
Solar Systems[edit]
You "discover" a Solar System by warping or flying to it.
If you are the first one to do so, you get the credit for the discovery. When you discover a system, you can rename the system, the planets, moons, plants, and animals (if any) in the system.

Scan creatures to discover them
Info Upload[edit]
Upload information at a beacon. You can upload discovered systems, planets, fauna, and flora and gets units as a reward for your contributions.
Rewards[edit]
- Rarer/Dangerous discoveries are worth more units
Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- Discoveries made on planets closer to the center are worth more units.
- When you discover a Solar System, other players who get there after you will see your name listed as the discoverer.
