Map[edit]
Description[edit]
In Payload, one team attacks and the other defends.
Attacking Team[edit]
- The Attacking Team has to escort their payload, a cart full of bombs, through the checkpoints and into the heart of the defenders' base.
- When the attackers are standing near the payload, it will advance on the tracks towards the next checkpoint.
- When the payload reaches the checkpoint, the attackers will gain an additional time to continue their assault.
Defending Team[edit]
- The Defending Team has to prevent the payload from reaching its destination.
- When the defenders are standing near the payload, it cannot advance until they are killed or forced away.
- The defending team must defend their base at all costs by keeping the attackers away from the payload.
Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- The Payload will move backwards if recent progress hasn't been made.
- Outpost is a close quarters map, so you would want to use a different strategy then you would on either Temple or Enchanted Forest.
- There is Grass all over the map which you can use to ambush your opponents.
- Don't stray from the payload for long, you will need to be near it if you want to keep it moving towards the defender's base.
- If you are a defender, use the Respawn Beacons to maintain a strong defensive position to keep the attackers off the payload.
Notes[edit]
- The Payload Mode was introduced in the Closed Beta Patch 12 (CBT12)
