Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Dancia about the Gildergreen being destroyed[edit]
In the morning hours, head to the dead tree nearby the stairs leading to Jorrvaskr. You will find Darcia Pure-Spring. Talk with her and ask her about the tree she is praying to. She will explain that the tree is Gildergreen. Agree to help her and she will give you Nettlebane
Retrieve Nettlebane[edit]
Make your way to Orphan Rock. This location is found to the Northeast from Helgen.
Fight your way up the hill. You will encounter a number of Hags or Witches. Make your way to the heights of it by going across the fallen tree. You will find a Hagraven there who holds Nettlebane. Loot it off their body and then return to Whiterun to Darcia.
Bring Nettlebane to Dancia[edit]
Most likely Darcia Pure-Spring can be found in the Temple of Kynareth. Go inside and talk with her again. She will direct you to your next destination: Eldergleam Sanctuary.
Retrieve Eldergleam Sap[edit]
Before you leave, wait a short while and talk with Maurice Jondrelle. He will join you as an additional follower. You cannot command him at all and he is surprisingly aggressive for someone who is unarmed.
With Maurice Jondrelle in tow, it is time to head for the Eldergleam Sanctuary. This location is found just north of Darkwater Crossing. This is to the South of Windhelm.
Head into the cave and begin exploring. Inside you will find Sond and Asta. They will warn you not to harm the tree itself but also explain that no one has gotten close to the tree in a long time. Head deeper inside the area and equip Nettlebane. Approach the roots that are blocking your way forward and swing Nettlebane at them. The roots will move and clear the path forward. Follow it on forward and up to the tree itself. Head up the slope slowly to make sure that Maurice stays with you and will approach the tree with you.
Follow Maurice[edit]
At the top you will have a choice to make. This is only available if Maurice Jondrelle has accompanied you this far into the quest. At the top, he will want to talk to you. Let him and either you can attack the tree to get the sap or let him pray at the tree and you will receive a sapling.
Let him approach the tree and he will pray to the Eldergleam. This will give you the Eldergleam Sapling.
Take Sapling[edit]
Take the Eldergleam Sapling and then return to Whiterun.
Retrieve Eldergleam Sap[edit]
Approach the tree at the top of the hill and interact with it.
Return to Dancia[edit]
Dancia Pure-Spring will say something different depending on the choice you made. Either way, you will complete the quest.
Rewards[edit]

If you complete the quest getting the Eldergleam Sap then Dancia Pure-Spring will be available as a Master Restoration trainer.
