“With Friends Like These ...” is a Dark Brotherhood Faction Quest in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Walkthrough[edit]
Make your way to a bed and go to sleep. If you travel around for a while, you will recieve the Mysterious Note. It simply says, "We know" with a black hand print.
You will wake up in the Abandoned Shack. There you will encounter Astrid. She will explain that Grelod the Kind was a Dark Brotherhood target. You now owe them a kill. Turn to the East.
There are 3 captives: Alea Quintus, Vasha and Fultheim the Fearless. Astrid explains that one of them has a contract out on them. There is no right answer here. You can kill any number of them. It is also possible to talk with them to learn more and figure it out. Again, there is no right answer.
Head back to Astrid. Talk with her. After that, she will extend an invitation to join the Dark Brotherhood. She will explain that the entrance to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary is found in the Pine Forest. She will also tell you the password to give The Black Door.
Make your way to the marked location. You will find the Black Door. Approach it and talk with it. It will ask "What is the music of life?", your response should be "Silence, brother".
Head inside. Go and find Astrid again. Talk with her and she will welcome you into the Brotherhood. She will give the Dragonborn: the Shrouded Armor Set.
