Return to the Skaal Village having completed the story mission The Fate of the Skaal. You will find Edla wandering about the area. Talking with her will get her to ask you to convince her son, Nikulas, to stay in the village.
Go to the front of their house. You will find Nikulas there on the bench. Talk with him to learn about his mother and his dreams. He does want to head out into the world and explore it.
You will have 3 options: Bribe, Intimidate, Persuade. Choose one to try and persaude him to stay. Once you have, report back to his mother. She will give you a number of ingredients that you can use: 5 Ashen Grass Pod, Scathecraw and Emperor Parasol Moss
