"Talk to Talvas" is an objective in the side quest "From The Ashes" in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn.

Walkthrough

Head inside Tel Mithryn and talk with Talvas. He offer you a random staff or to give you a Spell Tome Conjure Ash Guardian. Even if you you opt for the staff, the Spell tome is now available for purchase from Talvas.

Either choice, Talvas is now available as a Follower.
