A server wipe in ARK: Survival Evolved involves the following:
- All player data is removed
- All buildings are destroyed
- All dinos are reset.
Private/Dedicated server owners may wipe their own servers.
Official servers rarely wipe but may wipe after a backup failure, data loss, or other server malfunction.
ARK Release Wipe
- On August 8, 2017, ARK Survival Evolved is leaving early access and gets final release
- There has been different news whether official servers would be wiped on release.
