It is a Carnivore of species Araneomorphus amalgotantibus.
Often found in caves.

Taming a Spider
Currently the only way to tsame a spider is by the use of the admin console command, "admincheat ForceTame"
However, the dossier states the spider is tameable, meaning that spider taming could be implemented in the future.
Riding a Spider
You cannot ride a spider.
