Blackbeard is an enemy pirate in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, and one of several legendary pirates taken from history who appear in the game.
He appears as an enemy to Edward, although he respects the tactics and skill with which Edward executes his missions and even fears the dark current of the Assassin's Guild which drives him.
Blackbeard drives a massive hoard of followers, all of whom are loyal to the death.
