Investigate Khaliset's purpose in the mysterious tomb is an objective in Assassin's Creed: Origins (ACO).

There are 4 things to investigate at the bottom of the slope in front of the mysterious pillar.
Closest to investigate at the base of the slope is the body.
Bayek will remark on the body still being warm.
Next, go just past that to the strange markers on the ground nearby.
Investigate them to learn a little about what Khaliset has been doing.
Next, look to the right, toward the lit-up end of the room.
Investigate the pile of ash.
Finally, investigate the sarcophagus sitting on the table.
With all 4 things investigated, the next objective will trigger.
