"Gather Clues" is a mission objective in Murder Mystery / Equal Justice

Walkthrough

This is a 4 part investigation. There is the starting location as well as secondary one. It is recommended to visit both locations and explore all the clues to progress the story.

Courtyard

This is where the victim of this crime was found. There are 4 clues in this small area.

Clue 1 - The body of the victim

Clue Gathering - Equal Justice

This clue begin the murder mystery.

"The victim was enrolled in the French Revolutionary army. She was beaten to death with a heavy object. Her face is unrecognizable."

Clue 2 - Sad Soldier

Clue Gathering - Equal Justice

Turn to the South from the body of the victim. You will see a man kneeling, mourning nearby. Talk with him to learn more about what happened.

The Sad Soldier can be accused.

Arno: "Did you know the victim?"

Sad Soldier: "She was a friend, we were on our way to join the Revolutionary Army and I found her ...

Arno: "Were you alone?"

Sad Soldier: "Just as I arrived someone ran. I'm sure he wore a soldier's uniform."

Clue 3 - An enrollment leaflet

Clue Gathering - Equal Justice

Turn to the West from the Sad Soldier. Look on the ground nearby. You will see a small glowing object if you use Eagle Vision.

"An enrollment leaflet for the French Revolutionary Army signed by the local officer: Monsieur Francois Guelhaut."

Clue 4 - The lyrics of a song

Head to the North and go just outside the Courtyard itself where the body is. Turn to the left. You will see a letter by a stack of crates. Go and investigate it.

"Libres et egales, sans tete, sans tete! Libres et egales, sans tete et san armee!"

Tavern

Gather Clues is a mission objective in Assassin's Creed Unity: Dead Kings (ACU:DK)

This Tavern is found to the Southeast of the Courtyard. There are 2 clues to be found here.

Clue 1 - The lyrics of a song

Climb up into the tavern and just enter through the second floor window. Turn to the South and go to the drawers. On it you will find a note.

"The lyrics of another song, on a small piece of paper. The words are almost all crossed out, making it too difficult to read."

Clue 2 - Statement of the old officer

Clue Gathering - Equal Justice

Head to the Northeastern part of the tavern, the far side of the stairwell coming up into the second floor.

"An old fashioned officer of the French army. He is enjoying the warm glow of the tavern."

The old officer can be accused.

Arno: "Were you downtown last night?"

Soldier: " I surely was not. I was attending a lovely performance the whole night."

Destroyed House

This is one of the 4 locations. There are 2 clues to be found here. It is only revealed after you complete your search at the Tavern.

Clue 1 - The body of the second victim

Clue Gathering - Equal Justice

Head into the destroyed house. To the east of the entrance is a second body of a woman.

"The second victim is also a soldier. She has been smash by a heavy weapon. The violence of the attack seems to be even worse than for the first victim."

Clue 2 - The murder weapon

Turn to the West now. Go past the divider in the middle of the house. On that side you will find the second clue.

"The rod of a Tambour Major, a musician in the French Revolutionary army. It has been broken in half while beating the victim."

This is one of the 4 locations. There are 3 clues to be found here. It is only revealed after you complete your search at the Tavern. Head to the East from the Destroyed House to quickly find your way here.

Clue 1 - A pamphlet on women

Head over to the tree. On the Southern side of it you will find a leaflet nailed onto it.

"This page is writing by a beginning in cursive script, almost illegibly. It tells about women, slandering their 'supposed rights', and accuses them of every defeat to the Revolutionary Army."

To the West of the tree, on the ground, is another piece of paper. It is fairly easy to miss if you are not looking downward for it.

"The page is annotated hastily: 'PUTAIN. Must find this De Gouges.'

"'Woman, wake up, the toxin of reason must be heard throughout the whole universe; discover your rights. The powerful empire of nature is no longer surrounded by prejudice, fanaticism, superstition, and lies. The flame of truth has dispersed all the clouds of folly and usurpation. Enslaved man has multiplied his strength and needs recourse to yours to break his chains. Having become, he has become unjust to his companion. Oh, women, women! When will you cease to be blind? What advantage have you received from the Revolution?'"

Clue 3 - Statement of the young musician

Head over to the Eastern side of the search zone. There is a soldier leaning against wall. By him is a lute. Talk with him to learn a bit more.

Arno: "Were you in town last night?"

Young Musician: "Why?"

Arno: "A soldier was found dead there. You look like the killer."

Young Musician: "Not me, I was at the bar the whole time! And why would I kill a soldier? I want to join the army."
