ION Loader is an enemy Loader in Borderlands 2.
Description
These are Robotic enemies armed with long range gun, and can shoot at you from afar. They can also use a Shock-based attack to severely damage your shields. They can also generate a shield that protects all Hyperion property and personnel.
You run into many of these in the Shipping Yard in the mission Wildlife Preservation and in Thousand Cuts during the mission Where Angels Fear to Tread.
