If you want to play a support class (crowd control, healing) in Borderlands 2 than Maya the Siren is the best character to play.
The Harmony skill tree has lots of skills that heal you and party members, so that should be the tree if you are interested in being a healer.
The Motion skill tree is good for crowd control.
