Walkthrough

• This is a Modest Test of Strength, combat trial. You will be facing a Guardian Scout equipped with Guardian Axe+ and Guardian Spear+
• Having a Guardian Shield can be very helpful to defend against the rapid fire eye blast the Guardian Scout will use moving in against you.
• Both its spear and axe attack have long wind ups. Use this to learn the timing from the first few attacks and then start dodging to inflict heavy damage.
• If the Perfect Dodge is too difficult for you, work on dodging behind the Scout during the first part of the fight. This leaves it open for a good while to your attacks.
• Watch for it to set its weapons at 90 degrees from each other and leap back. It is about to doing its spinning charge attack.
• When the Guardian Scout is charging at you, try to hide behind one of the pillars. This will cause the Scout to smash into the pillar and become stunned.
• At half health, the Scout will stop and retract its head, glowing orange red. It will then do its updraft laser attack.
• You can use your paraglider to be carried upwards on the draft and then drop down. Aim at its head using your bow during this time.
• You can also aim and fire your bow from the ground. Attempt to hit the eye emitting the laser beam as much as possible.
• When reduced to 25% equip your best weapons and armor. The Scout will now be using it full power laser and charging at you. The tell is a blue aura emitting from the Scout.
• The laser can break through the pillars after 1 blast and its fires in volleys of 4.
• It is best to rush at the Guardian Scout during this phase of the fight. While the beams are very powerful, they are slow to build their charge.
• When you defeat the Guardian Scout, the gate in the back will open.
• Head to the chest there and open it to get a Frostspear.
• Climb the stairs and interact with the Monk Namika Ozz.
