The Ruins bear all the signs of your Ancestor's frenzied digging...

A list of loading screen tips in the Darkest Dungeon

Ruins[edit]

  • The Ruins bear all the signs of your Ancestor's frenzied digging...
  • Once-holy idols and shrines have been corrupted to favor pagan gods. Holy Water can help restore them to their rightful condition.
  • The undead will not bleed, but they can be blighted.
  • If you live for risk and darkness, by all means bring few torches...
  • Each region has its own challenges. Assemble your party and supplies accordingly.
  • A well-placed supply item can often protect against the hazards of interactive objects you encounter.
  • You can retreat from combat and even abandon quests. If things are going terribly, live to fight another day.

Weald[edit]

  • The Weald is full of long, winding paths. Bring plenty of torches.
  • Beware the mark of death that Fungal Artillery can put on you. It tells their Fungal Zombie brethren what to kill.
  • The paths are littered with poisonous traps.
  • Beast and corrupted human alike inhabit these failing groves.

Warren[edit]

  • The Warrens is full of disease and blight in equal measure... come prepared to deal with sickness.
  • The Swine are resistant to disease, thanks to their unclean living.
  • These tunnels are often blocked by piled stones and bodies. It's dirty work to remove by hand.
  • If you live for risk and darkness, by all means bring few torches...
