The Fish Thief

The Fish Thief is a side quest in Divinity: Original Sin

How to start quest[edit]

  • Go to the quest start location. From the Harbor climb some stairs and turn right at the fountain, until you reach a fish cart at the market. Then the quest will start.

Walkthrough[edit]

  • This quest consists mostly of dialog
  • You can either let Robin steal the fish, or persuade him not too. Letting him steal will give you +1 Renegade trait, while convincing him hot to steal will raise your Righteous trait.
  • If you let him steal the fish, you can then choose whether or not to rat on him to the Town Guard that shows up. If you rat on him, you get a +1 to the Blunt trait, while not ratting on him nets you a +1 to the Considerate trait.
  • If you prevent the theft and alert the guard, the Fish Vendor's attitude towards you will be better, giving you better prices when buying or selling from him. Similarly, if you let Robin get away with the theft, the Fish Vendor's attitude towards you will be higher, resulting in higher prices.
