Dialog[edit]

I[edit]

Fara - Please, can you-- * gasps* an elft Stay away, cannibal! If I find out you've gone near my baby, I’ll skin you alive!

Sebille - *Say your kind aren't cannibals in the way she thinks.*

Fara -I don't care, I don’t care! Please, just leave me be. Erma? Where are you dear? Mummy's worried sick about you!

Sebille - ‘Worriedly ask the child’s name.*

Fara Thar's none of your concern.

Sebille - [ELF] *Ofi'er to take a pound of her flesh for lunch if she threatens you again. *

Fara - *Spits.* Away from me, savage. It’s your fault we’re all here in the first place. It's your fault she's gone.

Narrator - *She ignores you and continues calling out for her Erma.*

II[edit]

Fara - Please... please...! You must help me. No one here will help me... not one of these bastards! A child is missing! My baby!

Ifan Ben-Mezd - [IFAN] *Bite your lip so hard you draw blood. Say her lost child is none of your concern.*

Fara - A child in danger is everyone's business. Oh, what would you know? You can't possibly imagine the pain of a lost child, cutpurse.

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Tell her your story... your own child is missing.*

Fara - I-I-I'm sorry. I pray to Lucian for us both. I... I must go find my girl... would, would you help?

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Ask what you can do to help.*

Fara - Oh! Oh bless you, bless you! She's been missing for days now, and not a single soul will help me look for her. Erma's her name. She's about as high as your hip. Black of hair. A quiet child. Not prone to wandering off. I'm sick with worry. Completely sick. And now one else in this damn camp will lift a finger to help me find her.

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Ask what all she knows about her daughter's disappearance.*

Fara -1 last saw her just here, near three days ago. She was playing with her little doll, and I was washing out her tunic. I turned from her for one moment, and she was gone. Left her doll behind, too! It’s so unlike her.

Ifan Ben-Mezd - * Wonder why no one else in camp will help her look.*

Fara - This place turns people cold. Cold and wicked. That fellow Jeth over there speaks unutterable evil, but I can't move away from him. What if Erma comes back and I'm not here?

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Ask to have a closer look at the doll.*

Fara - Yes, of course. Here-you should take it with you. When you find her, give her the doll and tell her "Mummy says this is for her little chicken, and it’s time to come home." That's what I call her. My little chicken.

Narrator - *She soaks up a steady stream of tears with her shirtsleeve.*

Fara - She ought to come with you then. She ought to follow you back to me.

lfan Ben-Mezd * *Say you'll do your best and bid her goodbye for now.*

Fara - You are an angel. Truly you are!

Fara - Ah, you're back! Please-- did you find Erma? She still hasn't returned. Where could she be, my dear girl...

Ifan Ben-Mezd - * Say you haven't found her yer, but you're not giving up.*

Fara - Bless you.

Fara - Ah, you're back! Please-- did you find Erma? She still hasn't returned. Where could she be, my dear girl...

Ifan Ben-Mezd - * Say you haven’t seen any signs of her, and perhaps Fara should start expecting the worst...*

Fara - You sound just like that snake Jeth. You stop it with that sort of talk, you hear me? Such utter nonsense...

III[edit]

Fara - Ah, you're back! Please-- did you find Erma? She still hasn't returned. Where could she be, my dear girl...

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Say you heard that Erma passed some time ago in a Voidwoken attack."

Fara - You've been talking to that snake Jeth, haven’t you? I don't know where he gets these obscene lies. It's sick! Totally sick. To torture a mother so... You stay away from that man, do you hear me? Erma isn't... that is, what Jeth says is a lie. You hear me?

IV[edit]

Ifan Ben-Mezd - [IFAN] *Bite your lip so hard you draw blood. Say her lost child is none of your concern.*

Fara - A child in danger is everyone's business. Oh, what would you know? You can't possibly imagine the pain of a lost child, cutpurse.

Ifan Ben-Mezd - *Tell her she's right... you can't.*

Narrator - *The woman looks at you with distrust yet says no more.*

V[edit]

Fara - Please, I’m sorry, but you must leave! My baby's terrified of lizards... she may be hiding from you even now! Erma? Erma, darling, are you here? Please, sweetheart, where are you?

The Red Prince - ‘Suggest you can offer another pair of eyes on the lookout.*

Fara • No- please. She's terrified of your kind. I don't know' w'hy. But if she sees you, she’s sure never to return. Please, I’m sorry but you must go. Erma? Erma dear, where are you?
