An Undead Character in D:OS2.

The Undead are a Race in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Description[edit]

Abhorred in Reviellon, the Undead are seen as an abomination of the natural order.

Special Ability[edit]

  • Play Dead: Fool enemies into thinking you are dead. Cooldown of skills will be paused. Any action you take will cancel this status.

Natural Talents[edit]

  • Undead: Undead lets you heal from poison, but regular healing will damage you.
  • Ingenious: 2 bonus initiative, +5% critical hit chance. (Undead Human)
  • Corpse Eater: You can eat Body Parts to access the memories of the dead, as well as heal and possibly learn a new skill from that body part. (Undead Elf)
  • Sturdy: +10% Maximum Vitality and +5% Dodging (Undead Dwarf)
  • Sophisticated: +10% Fire Resistance and +10% Poison Resistance (Undead Lizard)

Features[edit]

  • Undead are immune to Death Fog.
  • As an Undead Character, you need to wear a helmet on all the time to cover your head. If you take it off, NPCs will attack you on sight.
  • Undead characters can lockpick with their fingers; You are not required to carry lockpicks.
  • Healing Spells, Healing Potions will DAMAGE undead characters rather than healing them. To heal an undead character, you must use poison instead. Poisons damage living characters, but will heal undead characters.
    • Certain necromancy spells such as Mosquito Swarm and Blood Sucker also heal undead.

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]

  • The Grinning Skull in the Laboratory of The Hold at the start of the game only talks to Undead characters. It has no dialogue when playing living characters.
  • It is a good idea to learn to craft poisons so that you can have them handy to use instead of healing potions.
  • If you are playing as Fane (Origin Undead Character), you start the game equipped with Fane's Mask of the Shapeshifter, but it gets stolen by Windego shortly after. When that happens, look in your inventory and you should see a Tattered Cowl. Equip the Tattered Cowl instead of the mask so that you don't get attacked by everyone. If you sold, or otherwise misplaced the Tattered Cowl, any other helmet will do.
