The domesticated chicken is a pet kept in Far Cry 3's Amanaki Village.
The chickens can be found in a pen to the back left side of the village, from your starting point inside of Dennis' hut.
The villagers likely keep the chickens around as pets until it's time to kill, cook and eat them. Yum!
