After Jason escapes with Grant, he finds himself waking up in a cabin with Dennis.
Dennis is giving Jason the Tatau, and tells him upon his waking that he has numbed Jason's arm to allow the Tatau to take effect.
This naturally makes Jason panic, but as soon as he looks to the knife Dennis thwarts him before confirming that he is, in fact, a friend.
