Faralda is an NPC in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
She is a Senior Wizard in the College of Winterhold
During the quest First Lessons, she gives you a test which you must pass in order to gain access to the college. The tests consist of a random spell that you must cast in front of her[1].
Faralda is also the master trainer in the school of Destruction. She will train you in the Destruction skill as well as sell you Destruction spells.
