There are many planet features No Man's Sky:

  • Planets are typically sized as you expect a planet to be, ie not too huge and not too tiny.
  • Planets can have "Earth" like features such as a canyon, hills, grass, and mountain ranges.
  • Some planets may have water while others won't.
  • Atmosphere color can be different, depending on the elements found in that atmosphere.
  • Some planets can be radioactive or toxic.
  • Planets may have rings around them (like Saturn)

Strategy Guide/Tips

  • Planets will generally have only one type of prevalent biome, rather than a mixture.
  • All planets can be explored, there aren't any unexplorable ones such as Gas Giants
  • The closer you get to the Center, the more unpredictable and dangerous the planets will become.
  • Planets with toxic or radioactive atmosphere may require a suit upgrade in order to visit.
