In Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, you can choose to have a character that is two Classes.
You are given that choice during Character Creation
Multiclass characters can have powers from two different Classes, but advance more slowly in each class and cannot get the highest level powers of each class.
Single class characters can only have powers from their own class but advance faster in that class and will gain access to all powers of that class.
Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- When determining skill bonuses, the average of the two classes is used.
- A Multiclass character does not gain access to powers VIII and IX.
- A Multiclass character chooses one ability per level between the two classes, so will gain access to various class abilities a lot slower than the single class character.
- If you are a new player, it is recommended you choose a single class character.
