Battle Giratina is an objective in the Story Mission, Seeking the Remaining Plates in Pokemon Legends Arceus
Walkthrough
Giratina
- Giratina lv. 70 simply put is a beast as a Ghost Dragon typing
- Hit it very hard with Dragon or Ice type attacks.
- This battle immediately starts after you defeat Volo.
- There is no healing between the two, Giratina just comes out, ready to fight.
- Giratina has good coverage with Ghost, Dragon, Fighting, and Ground-type attacks.
- Dialga and Palkia are bad choices here (as well as Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit) and most of the Legendaries so far in the story.
- If you have Fairy-type attacks, bring them to bear here, especially for what is to come after this.
- Using Togekiss is a great idea because of the Fairy/Flying Typing to avoid a lot of elements.
- It can be done without that, but it can be hard to do (my Samurott's Ceaseless Edge got me to victory).
Origin Forme Giratina
- Yep! Giratina lv. 70 is back, invoking its Alpha power and changing to its true Origin Forme.
- This time it has: Shadow Force, Aura Sphere, Earth Power, and Dragon Claw.
- Giratina has all its power and health restored with this transformation, so you are right back to square one.
- Zoroark is a great Pokemon to use for this fight for its typing, but mostly for debuffs since it does not have great attacks.
- The good news is Shadow Force only has 5 pp, so with some Max Potions you can stall out Giratina.
- Something with Dark-type attacks can wreck this as well, just preferably without the Dark-Type (or mix in Ghost to just ignore the Fighting-Type... hi Spiritomb!)
Epilogue
- With both forms of Giratina defeated it will retreat (for now) to its alternate dimension.
- Volo will surrender his Spooky Plate.
- With this acquired, your flute will now become the Azure Flute.
