Q-Bit Revolution is the first game created by indie company 111 Games LLC. The company currently consists of two people; Justin Shepperd (programmer/3d artist/concept) and Kyra Kauschel (UI designer/concept/level designer). Q-Bit Revolution is an endless runner/platform game designed from the ground up for mobile touch screen interfaces. Q-Bit draws inspiration from other endless runners, such as Jetpack Joyride and Temple Run. Q-Bit Revolution was developed using the Unity game engine. The game is currently available for free on iOS, and will soon be available for Android devices.

Gameplay and Mechanics

The main gameplay mechanics in the game include the ability to rotate the playing field by swiping, tap to jump, and mid-air tap to activate power-ups. The game features randomly generated "rooms" which are pre-designed, creating a different experience for each run. Each run is endless and gradually gets faster as the player progresses. There are 3 power-ups the player can collect in game. These include the boost, the rocket, and the magnet.

The boost grants temporary invincibility, and allows the player to break through the environment as they boost forward. The rocket fires guided missiles that will destroy obstacles, such as plasma canons, spinning blades, and the environment. The magnet draws in coins from the environment.

Game Visuals

Q-Bit has a clean, cube-like aesthetic and has a color changing, gradient background. The player character is also a cube or some variation of a cube. As the player progresses, the environment and background transitions to various colors to indicate that the player has progressed. The game's visuals draw inspiration from Geometry Dash, in that the player and environment are represented as "boxes". Although it is similar to Geometery Dash visually, the gameplay plays more like a free-form arcade style game, rather than a rhythm based game.

Additional Features

Q-Bit also includes various player cubes that are unlock-able by purchasing them with in-game currency, or by completing various challenges. There are also medallions, which are rare challenge items the player can pick up during a run.
