“Corundum Ore Vein” is an item in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This is one of the many mineral veins that can be found throughout Skyrim.
Corundum is a metal mixed with iron to yield higher quality alloys. The most common derivative of their melding is Steel.
One vein can yield up to 3 Corundum Ores

1 Corundum Ingot is made by Smelting 2 Corundum Ores
1 Steel Ingot is made with 1 Corundum Ore and 1 Iron Ore
