Shaun and American Academy of Pediatrics Safety Standards
The article says:
"Shaun can be seen swaddled and lying on his back in the Crib at the beginning of the game. This is in accordance with American Academy of Pediatrics safety standards."
Does anyone have a citation for that?

- I'm a new father. We were indeed told that babies should sleep on their back. Not sure whether the swaddling thing is a standard but the sleeping on the back is definitely is. It prevents SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Rescuer (talk) 01:26, 13 July 2015 (EDT)
How old is Shaun?

- yeah haha you don't say, obviously he is more than 0 (since he was born) and less than 1 (since he is tiny and swaddled in a crib and drinking for a bottle). I was looking for a more specific age such as 2 weeks? 1 month? 2 month? 4 months? any clues in the gameplay so far as to when he was born? Kozzi (talk) 03:41, 16 July 2015 (EDT)
Shaun's Food?
I am a new proud father, and in addition to the "laying on the back" sleep position as mentioned above, we were also told that breastfeeding is recommended over formula (also by the American Academy of Pediatrics). Has there been any evidence as to what Shaun eats? Just trying to figure out if there is some sort of "pattern" here and perhaps this game has some hidden educational value.

Spelling of baby's Name
Can anyone confirm the spelling of the baby's name? When I heard it in the E3 video it sounded like "Sean". How do you know it's spelled "Shaun" and not "Sean"?

Playing with Crib Mobile advances to post-war era?
I noticed in the E3 gameplay that after Nora tells Howard to entertain Shaun by spinning the Crib Mobile, When Howard does that, at that moment Codsworth calls the family to come see the TV broadcast that's talking about the nuclear attack. So I wander if spinning the Crib Mobile is the "point of no return" which triggers the cutscene and advances the game from pre-war to post-war. Like for example instead of spinning the Crib Mobile, can you go explore Sanctuary Hills all you want during pre-war and when you are ready to go to the next stage of the game, then go back to your House and spin the Crib Mobile?

Nora carries Shaun?
In the E3 gameplay, when the family runs to the shelter, Nora takes Shaun and runs out with him. Seemed weird to me? Wouldn't the husband, a war veteran, and probably stronger and can carry more weight? Why is he letting the wife carry Shaun rather than carrying Shaun himself? They even have to run up the hill and such...

Shaun's crying
If I had to guess why Shaun was crying, it's probably because Codsworth scares him. From the dialog it is clear that the robot changes the kid's diapers. I can understand why that robot could look very scary to a baby. Perhaps the mother or father should do the diaper changes and other personal interactions with the baby rather than having the robot handle it.
