The Dark Zone is a particular type of zone in Tom Clancy's The Division.
The Dark Zone is the area that has been hit the hardest with the virus. There is very little communications and services there. They are very interesting locations to explore as the US Army left a lot of material and equipment inside when they left the Dark Zone because of the uncontrollable contamination.
The Dark Zone is the only PvP (Player versus Player) area in the game.
Credits are specific to the Dark Zone.
Levels (named Dark Zone Ranks) are specific to the Dark Zone.
Loots can be shared into the Dark Zone.
The Dark Zone is split in six sectors, DZ01 to DZ06, with a different difficulty level in each, increasing from DZ01 to DZ06.
