Search for the Winged Defender is a Quest in Trials of Mana (TrialsofMana).

Walkthrough

• Through the gate, go over to the East and look just next to the barren tree.
• There you will find Li'l Cactus, to the West of the Golden Goddess Statue.
• Go through the tunnel to begin the search for the Winged Defender.
• Celestial Peak has a lot of twists and turns to it, with some paths crossing over each other.
• Start by going over to the North and looking for a downward path along the Western side of the Northward path.
• Taking this path will lead you to a Sparkle with a Silver Item Seed.
• Go back up the slope and then head over to the West, to find a small cave over to the side.
• Here, you will find a chest with 2 Chocolates.
• Return to the East and go along the path there to the next fight against 2 Copper Knights.
• Go to the South and use this path to go around and upwards.
• There is a narrow path going to the North here to follow which leads you to a Sparkle with 260 lucre.
• After that, go to the South and head into the next cave.
• In the first chamber, the party will encounter a Copper Knight and 2 Imps.
• Continue to the South to find 4 Needlebeaks over a nest here.
• They are guarding a chest that has 1,200 lucre.
• After that, head back into the cave to the Northeast and follow that path.
• Go up the ramp and then turn to the West and head back toward where you just came from.
• Look across to the next platform, separated from the main path, to spot a Sparkle with 1 Candy that the party can easily jump to.
• After that, go back to the East and then following the path to the North and then West.
• As you emerge from the cave, turn to the North and head to the end of the short path here to find a Sparkle with 210 lucre.
• Continue to the North and then follow the path as it winds upwards to the South and rounds about to the North.
• Take out the 2 Harpies and [Trials of Mana: Needlebeak|Needlebeak]].
• Defeating them, go to the North to find another group of enemies Harpy, Copper Knight, and Needlebeak.
• Go over to the East to find the next path upwards this will lead you to Copper Knights and a Imp.
• Heading to the South here will yield a Sparkle with Silver Item Seed.
• Go to the North from here to find the top of the mountain and trigger a cutscene that will grant the party Flammie, a young dragon that can bring the party into the Mana Sanctuary.
• This will also grant the party MP Boost II
