"Kill the Griffin" is a quest objective in the main story quest "The Beast of White Orchard" in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]

• Royal Griffin is vulnerable to:
  • Bomb: Grapeshot
  • Potion: Hybrid Oil
  • Sign: Aard
• Vesemir is fighting the Griffin as well but don't count on him too much
• Try to time it correctly to dodge the Griffin's attacks. Jump to the sides whenever the Griffin flies towards you.
• Try to hit the Griffin with the Crossbow
• Stagger the Griffin with the crossbow, get 2-3 hits in. Circle behind for a few easy hits, you can also light the Griffin on fire for another stun when he's grounded.
• When Griffin reaches half health, he will fly northwest towards the mill. Chase him there and continue attacking.

The Beast of White Orchard Quest[edit]

• Ask the Herbalist about buckthorn
• Find some buckthorn on the riverbed using your witcher senses
• Ask the hunter where he found the bodies
• Use your witcher senses to find the hunter
• Kill the wild dogs
• Talk to the hunter
• Follow the hunter
• Examine the site of the Nilfgaardian soldiers' death using your witcher senses
• Follow the Nilfgaardian soldiers' tracks using your witcher senses
• Search the griffin's nest using your witcher senses
• Talk to Vesemir
• Prepare to fight the griffin
• Meet Vesemir in the field where you plan to ambush the griffin
• Kill the griffin
• Take a trophy from the griffin's corpse
• Collect your reward from the Nilfgaardians
