Tailoring in ArcheAge. Cloth armor, refining fabric.

Crafting - Tailoring[edit]

Tailoring is the main profession for creating Fabrics, Cloth based Armors, and plushies. As with other armor-crafting professions, most cloth armors require some amount of Moonlight Archeum.

Companion Skills[edit]
  • Gathering - Gathering Cotton is one of the faster ways to create fabric for materials.
  • Husbandry - One of the cheaper and more sustainable methods of making fabric can be done from sheering Sheep, Goats, and Yatas.
  • Alchemy - Most cloth armor requires alchemical dyes to craft them.
Tips for Leveling Tailoring[edit]
  • Farm cotton or lots of sheep. Converting wool or cotton to fabric leads to 3 vocation points
  • Work on quantity over quality. Early level crafting has a low chance of generating higher tiers of quality, so crafting low level pieces is a better investment of Moonlight Archeum.
  • Break archeum down, avoid combining – It requires five component Archeum pieces to combine into the next tier, but breaking down a higher tier into a lower tier generates 4 pieces. Use lower level Archeum rather than save it to combine it.
  • Start upgrading on proc'd items - Don't try crafting higher levels of an item unless the very first crafting attempt procs to green quality. You're more likely to get an overall better rarity level as you continue upgrading.
Frequently Asked Questions[edit]
  • How do I craft my next tier item at the Cloth Armor Form?
    • Conqueror Tier and above requires a Regal Cloth Armor Form, which can be purchased on Mirage Isle
  • What are Plushies used for?
    • Plushies are cosmetic items you can use to decorate your home, and are useful for some quests.
