"Kill 4 Brutes" is an optional mission objective in Sequence 9 / Memory 01: Imagine My Surprise

There are a number of Brutes spread around the Plantation to make your life a little easier. Start by going to the Western edge of the nearby plantation. Go to the base of the stairs and whistle up toward the first brute to lure him down to you for a corner assassination. This Brute can also be approached from the Eastern side by crossing over using the trees that go over the middle path. Just take out the guards around him first. This Brute does patrol so keep an eye on where he is in it.
Move to the North along the Western side of the plantation, hugging the edge of the Search Zone. Get over to the House at the Northwestern corner and look to the East. You will find another Brute. He's last. Continue toward the Northwestern entrance of the plantation. You will find a pair of brutes watching this entrance. There are a number of other Soldiers around so this can be tricky to pull off undetected. Still, they are an option.
An alternative is, once you start following Hornigold and Rogers (from a Northern Position), you can move to the South and lure the Brute by the house into a Stalking Zone without much trouble. From there, dart to the South using the Stalking Zones. This will let you sneak up behind another Brute without much trouble. Just be mindful of the guards moving along the path.
Alternatively, you can just wait to reach the confrontation after the eavesdrop. You will have little trouble finding Brutes at that point.
