"Take less then 50% damage during the naval fight" is an optional mission objective in Down With The Ship in Freedom Cry
Walkthrough[edit]
While engaged in this naval battle, bracing is very important. It significantly reduces the amount of damage that is taken when the escorts fire on your ship. From there, use broadsides, heavy shot and mortar fire to quickly decimate any of the ships that cross your path. Speed is essential when you are trying to avoid damage. Fly through, fire, then duck back out of the way.
