Haakon Precipice in Destiny: Rise of Iron.

“A Track in the Plaguelands which has been restored to operation by the Sparrow Racing League.”

Enemies[edit]

Overview[edit]

A race course in the Plaguelands. Races will need to worry about the Splicers and Hive on the track. There are 3 triads of rotating pillars that need to be navigated. There is also a fork lift around the corner before the rotating pillars.

Running the Course[edit]

Launch straight ahead. Try to avoid the small jumps and head straight ahead for the boost gate. Immediately after it is a ledge.

Haakon Precipice

Drop off the ledge and aim for the next boost gate in the middle of the track. There is a second gate just after the first one. Aim carefully.

Haakon Precipice

You have a turn just ahead. Keep toward the middle to hiut the next gate.

Haakon Precipice

Just after this, you have another gate with a rock pillar in the middle of the path. Keep on the right-hand side of it.

Haakon Precipice

This leads to a split path. One has a jump (left) while the other is all on the ground.

Haakon Precipice

Going to the left has a jump on it with some gentle turns

Haakon Precipice

Going to the right is a smooth path with a few enemies on the path.

Haakon Precipice

Keep in the middle of the track as you go around the corner.

Haakon Precipice

Around the corner you have 2 more Boost Gates. You will need to stay around the middle to hit both the gates easily.

Haakon Precipice

After the second boost gate you will have another split in the path. Most go left for its shorter feel and jump where they can perform a stunt.

On the right you will likely have some enemies at the entrance and a bit wider turn after a drop. Be sure to perform a stunt while on the drop (and tilt forward if you have the helmet equipped). This section has a sharper, more sudden turn

Haakon Precipice

Where the paths rejoin, there is another boost gate. Be sure to aim for it quickly. It is easier to hit from the left-hand branch. the right hand has you crossing over more of the track, increasing your risk of over-correcting.

Haakon Precipice

After the turn, there is another boost gate past the tree. The track has a large stone pillar in the middle of it after that boost gate. Try to go to the left to take the inside track for the next turn.

Haakon Precipice

Round the turn close to the middle to be ready to hit the boost gate on the other side. There is a second gate just a short distant after that turn. It is followed quickly by another boost gate.

Haakon Precipice

After the second boost gate you have a sharp turn with a boost gate around the corner in the middle of the track. Aim for this and be ready because the challenging portion of the track is about to start.

Haakon Precipice

That boost gate leads to the first section of rotating pillars. There is a boost gate in the middle that you will want to aim for. Hitting the pillars head on has a good chance of killing you. Taking a hit to the side of your sparrow will knock you around, but likely will not destroy the sparrow. Side boost as needed to avoid the pillars.

Haakon Precipice

The second set of rotating pillars has another boost gate in the middle of it.

Haakon Precipice

The third and final set continues what the others did with a boost gate in the middle to reward your skill.

Haakon Precipice

This turn is tricky. You want to take the inside of it and hold close to the middle. There is a second boost gate just after the lead.

Haakon Precipice

The reason is the forklift in the middle of the track. Hitting it will not destroy your sparrow. Dodge the forklift and get ready for the next boost gate.

Haakon Precipice

There is a boost gate just beyond the forklift.

Haakon Precipice

The next gate beyond it is to the left of the steel supports. There is another beyond it

Haakon Precipice

Go over the slope after the gate. You want to favor the left side. Drop down to hit the boost gate.

Haakon Precipice

The final boost gate is in the middle of the track.
