Summary

Talking with either Luronk gro-Glurzog or Ruslan to learn about them getting robbed by a Watchman. Follow the trail left and lead to a confrontation with the corrupt Imperial Watchman, Audens Avidus, with Itius Hayn.

“Apparently there is a corrupt Imperial Watchman in the city. Luronk gro-Glurzog in the Temple district was complaining about him. Luronk ran afoul of him at Jensine’s Merchandise in the market district. Luronk didn’t have a name, but maybe Jensine does.”

Walkthrough

Begin the Quest

Begins with a rumor in the Imperial City. You will need to talk with Loronk gro-Glurzog or Ruslan. Talking with either of the men about the “Corrupt Imperial Watchman,” they will tell you about getting robbed by one of the City Guard while shopping at Jensin’s “Good as New” Merchandise.

• Luronk gro-Gluzog and Ruslan can both die. If they both do, this quest becomes inaccessible

Talk to Jensine

Go to Jensin’s “Good as New” Merchandise in the Market District of the Imperial City. Talk with the proprietor. Jensin, with a disposition of 70 or above, will tell you about the culprit, Audens Avidius. This guard is high enough rank few can challenge him about his accusations and get away with it.

She will share this information, but she won’t take a stand against the Watchman.

Report Audens Avidius

To begin, talk with any Imperial Watch member that ISN’T Audens Avidus. They will direct you to the one person who can do something: Servatius Quintillus.

• This can be Hieronymus Lex if you haven't completed "Taking Care of Lex" as part of the Thief's Guild Questline.

Once you know who to talk to, you need to find Servatius Quintillus. Who is very busy, but will also be marked on your map to make him a LITTLE easier to find.

• 12am-6am – Sleeps in South Watch Captain’s Quarters
• 6am-9am – Talks with Guards in South Watch Quarters
• 9am-10am – Patrols South Gate nearby Arboretum
• 10am-11am – Patrols Arcane University Gate
• 11am-12pm – Travels through Arboretum enters Temple District
• 12pm-2pm – Lunch at the South Watch Tower, then returns to Temple District and positions himself nearby gate to Green Emperor Way
• 3pm-4pm – Patrols dining room of South Watch Tower
• 4pm – 5pm – Waterfront watch, nearby the Lighthouse
• 5pm-6pm – Patrols dock of Waterfront District
• 6pm-8pm – Dinner on the Bloated Float Inn
• 8pm-10pm – Patrols dock of Waterfront District
• 10pm-12am – Returns to Tower, relaxes in room

Talking to him about the “Corrupt Imperial Watchman,” and he’ll decline to take up challenging . He directs you to Itius Hayn.

Find Itius Hayn

It’s time to find the REAL person who can help report this Corrupt Imperial Watchman.

Itius Hayn’s Schedule

• 10pm-6am – Sleeps in the Captain’s Quarters of the Northwest Watch Tower
• 6am-8am – Breakfast in Quarters
• 8am-9am – Patrols nearby Gate leading into the Talos Plaza District from the Elven Gardens District
• 9am-10am – Patrols deadend alley Northern alleyway of the Elven Gardens
• 10am-12pm – Patrols Eastern Gate of the Elven Gardens, checks on the Southern Gate leading to the Green Emperor Way
• 12pm-2pm – Lunch at The Foaming Flask
• 2pm-3pm – Patrols Talos Plaza District (Starts at Northern Gate, goes to Eastern Gate at 3pm)
• 4pm-5pm – Watches Gate to the Temple District
• 6pm-8pm – Dinner in his quarters before heading downstairs to the ground floor to socialize with the other Guards

Talk with Itius Hayn and raise his disposition toward the Hero to 70+ He will take a stand against Audens Avidus if you can direct 2 witnesses to him.

Get Luronk and Ruslan to Meet with Irius Hayn

Both Luronk gro-Glurzog and Ruslan will be marked on your map. Find each of them in turn (with some luck they’ll be visiting). Raise this disposition toward you to 70+ and ask them to meet with Itius Hayn to testify against Audens Avidus. All parties will meet the next day

Witness the Meeting (Optional)

• This step of the quest will happen automatically, the Hero doesn’t need to witness it.

The marker will be tracking Itius Hayn at this point. It will disappear around 9-10am the next day. If you stay with it, you can witness the meeting between Itius Hayn, Luronk gro-Glurzog, and Ruslan.

Witness the Arrest (Optional)

• This step of the quest will happen automatically, the Hero doesn’t need to witness it.

After Itius Hayn meets with Luronk and Ruslan, he will intercept Audens Avidus. Itius immediately arrests Audens Avidus. Audens Avidus goes along with it, no resisting, because he is afraid of Itius Hayn. Itius will then escort Audens Avidus to the Imperial Prison.

Epilogue

10 days after he is jailed, Audens Avidius will manage to break out and start to hunt the Hero. Armed with only a dagger, he is no challenge at all to defeat.
