Help the Odiils reclaim their land. Goblins are overrunning their farm and an extra hand is needed to clear them out.

It helps to check the farm before starting the quest to ensure there isn’t an Oblivion Portal nearby. If its there, then you should close it before starting the quest.

Walkthrough

Meet Valus Odiil

You can start this quest by going into the Grey Mare Inn in Anvil. Inside the Inn, find and talk with Valus Odiil. He can generally be found in the main room of the Inn. He’ll either be wandering around or sitting at one of the tables.

Ask him about his “Sons.” He’ll explain that he’s worried about them. Follow up by asking about “Creatures”. He’ll explain that can’t help with the goblins causing them problems. To this end, he asks you to join his sons in clearing the farm and eliminating the Goblins. Agree, and he’ll send you to meet his sons and deal with the problem.

Meet the Brothers at Weynon Priory

Having accepted the quest, head to the Southeast, to the nearby gate. Exit Anvil and head along the road toward Weynon Priory to the East. Just at the turn off to the Priory on the main road you’ll find the brothers: Rallus and Antus. You want to approach and talk with Rallus. He understands that you’re taking his father’s place in this coming fight.

Follow the Brothers to Odiil Farm

Follow the two Brothers down the slope. A minute or so at their pace later, you’ll arrive at the farm. Continue with them to the field next to the building itself. Go with them into the field. Once there, you will just need to wait a short while before the Goblins begin attacking.

Fend off the Goblins

Getting to the Farm’s field, it’s time to get to work fending off the Goblins. You want to make sure that both Sons survive the fight. That gets you the best reward, so save! Otherwise, stand with weapons drawn and get to work killing Goblins.

There are 3 waves of Goblins that will attack. Expect 3-4 Goblins in each wave. There can be a few kinds of Goblin in each wave. Try to intercept them as they come into the field. Be sure to check around the field in case a Goblin gets caught somewhere.

The Brothers are decently hardy, but can get overwhelmed somewhat easily.

When all 3 waves are cleared, you’ll be done with the main part of the quest. It’s time to return to Valus Odiil.

Return to Valus Odiil

With the Odiil Farm’s field secured against the Goblins, it’s time to return to Valus Odiil. You can either run back or Fast Travel to Anvil. Either way, head into the Grey Mare Inn. Once again, find and talk with Valus Odiil. Talk to him about his Sons.

Valus will give you a reward based on the results of the fight.

• If both Brothers survived, he’ll reward the Hero with Chillrend.
• If 1 of the Brothers died, he’ll give the Hero 150 gold.
• If neither Brother survived, he will not reward you.

That finishes the Quest!
