The Direwolf is a creature in ARK: Survival Evolved
It is a carnivore of species Canis Maxdirus.

Taming a Direwolf[edit]
The direwolf is Tameable.
Use raw meat. To tame you can use raw meat or cooked meat. For a faster tame you can use cooked prime meat but will be alot slower than raw prime meat.
Low level Direwolves may take 5-10 tranquilizer arrows to knock out.
Riding a Direwolf[edit]
You can ride Dire Wolves. No saddle is required.
Direwolf Locations[edit]
Dire Wolves are located at the Snow Biome at the northwest corner of the map.
Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- Direwolves can do good damage but can't wear armor and die fast. Currently they don't have the alpha buff or a pack function.
- Similar to the Gigantopithecus, you can ride Direwolves without using a saddle
- The Argentavis can pick up a Direwolf and set it down in a strategic location.
