Quest Items[edit]

Walkthrough[edit]

  • Talk with Hudson in Hateno Village having completed Hylian Homeowner.
  • Let Hudson leave the town and then make your way to the new Tarrey Town.
  • Make your way to the Dah Hesho Shrine. This is the closest shrine to the location where the town will be.
  • Go to the north and look over the ledge. You will see an island in the middle of the lake below you.
  • Glide over to the island in the middle of the lake.
  • This will bring you into Tarrey Town.
  • Land and talk with Hudson.
  • Agree to help him get more people into town and Hudson will ask Link to bring him 10 Wood Bundles.
  • Talk with Hudson once you have collected 10 Wood Bundles.
  • Hudson will then ask you to go find a Goron whose name ends with "son" to come and help clear the boulders of Tarrey Town.
  • Time to begin the hunt.

  • To find the next person, head for Kara Kara Bazaar in the Gerudo Desert.
  • Travel to any of the Shrines nearby it or the Gerudo Tower or Wasteland Tower.
  • Make your way into the Kara Kara Bazaar from your chosen point of travel.
  • Pass the time to Noon, if it is night-time.
  • Look outside the trade building. To the West of the entrance is a small overhang with a Gerudo underneath it.
  • Approach and talk with this Gerudo, Rhondson.
  • Link will tell her about Tarrey Town.
  • She will head over there after your conversation.
  • You will want to collect 30 Bundles of Wood then return to Tarrey Town.
  • With the wood, return to Tarrey Town and talk with Hudson.
  • Hudson will ask for the wood before asking you to find someone to set up and run a general store. Their name needs to end in "son" of course.

  • Now, a priest needs to be found to officiate a wedding between Hudson and Rhondson.
  • Hudson suggests checking around the Zora.
  • Travel to Ne'ez Yohma Shrine in Zora's Domain.
  • You need to find Kapson who is below the throne room.
  • Go up the first flight of stairs toward the throne room.
  • After that, go into the area just below the throne room.
  • Underneath the stairs toward the throne room, you will find Kapson.
  • Talk with him and he will be thrilled to perform the ceremony in Tarrey Town.
  • Make your way back to Tarrey Town.

Dialogue[edit]

Hudson: Yeah?

Link: What are you doing?

Hudson: Taking a break. By the way... Did you buy that house?

Link: Yes.

Hudson: Impressive. You're just a pup.

Link: Uh...come again?

Hudson: Don't worry about it. Anyway...

Link: What?

Hudson: Looks like I've gotta head out and leave this place soon.

Link: Why?

Hudson: I've been transferred.

Link: Transferred...

Hudson: Mighta heard, but Bolson Construction is planning to expand big-time.

Link: That's great!

Hudson: Yeah, big expansion.

Link: Where will you go?

Hudson: Zora's Domain is north of here. We're going north of that, though. An area called the Akkala region.

Link: That's pretty far.

Hudson: Yeah... well.

Link: Good luck!

Hudson: Ok then. Well... No time like the present, right? I should be getting on my way. If you'd like, you should come to the Akkala region and say hello. Well... Take care of yourself.

Hudson: Hey. We meet again.

Link: Who are you again?

Hudson: I'm one of the Bolson Construction contractors. The name's Hudson.

Link: I remember!

Hudson: Me too.

Link: What are you doing?

Hudson: Since I've been transferred here, I've decided to build a village from scratch. Every village needs a name, though. I think I'll call it... Tarrey Town.

Link: Good idea!

Hudson: However...

Link: What's wrong?

Hudson: I built a house to store the village supplies in, but there just isn't enough...

Link: Enough what?

Hudson: Enough anything... People... Money... Stuff...

Link: I'll help out!

Hudson: But why? There's nothing in it for you.

Link: I don't mind!

Hudson: You're a lifesaver... Well...I suppose to get started, we'll need houses for people to live in. We can't invite them until we have homes. Do you think you can bring me 10 bundles of woods? If you bring me that, I can combine it with what I've already got and get started on new houses.

Hudson: Hello. Did you bring the 10 bundles of wood?

Link: I brought them!

Hudson: Excellent! Can I have them?

Link: Sure!

Hudson: You're a lifesaver! Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: These boulders are driving me nuts. I want to move them out of the way so we can develop the land underneath. It'd really help me out if you could find someone with enough brute physical strength to bust them apart.

Link: Physical strength?

Hudson: Yeah, if we're talking about brute strength, and we are, a Goron would be my first choice... Good luck! You'll need it... This seems like a real long shot. Oh, and one last wrinkle... Yeah, in accordance with the official Bolson Construction policy, that someone's name must end in "son." If you run into anyone that fits with what I've said, send them here to Tarrey Town for me.

Greyson: Come on, I'm on break... What is it?

Link: And you are?

Greyson: I'm Greyson. I'm a digger here, as you can see. I dig and I dig... Day in and day out... To be honest, I'm sick of it. I feel like... maybe I'm not meant to toil away in obsurity like this. *sigh* Is there a job out there for me that'd let me use my strength to make a difference?

Link: There is.

Greyson: Huh? There is? Where? Please, tell me more!

Link: Tarrey Town.

Greyson: Tarrey Town? Never heard of it. What's the deal with that place?

Greyson: Hmm... Hrmm... Akkala...Tarrey Town... So there is somewhere out there that needs me... Hmm, Akkala isn't too far from here. All right! I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna strike while while the iron is hot! Thanks for lettin' me know, brother! Pelison and I are gonna head there right away! While I'm at it... Pelison! We're gonna leave!

Pelison: Hm?

Hudson: You sent some Gorons back here. That's perfect. The brute strength of a Goron is undeniable. Those boulders don't stand a chance against them... And with names like Greyson and Pelison, they'll fit right in. Also, Pelison started selling ore found within the boulders. You should go say hello again. Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: So before more people can move here, we need homes for them to live in. Can you bring me 20 bundles of wood? If you bring me that, I can combine it with what I've already got and get start on new houses.

Hudson: Hello. Did you bring the 20 bundles of wood?

Link: I brought them!

Hudson: Excellent! Can I have them?

Link: Sure!

Hudson: You're a lifesaver... Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh...

Hudson: Could you look for someone who's got a gift for tailing for me?

Link: Tailoring?

Hudson: If we're talking about tailoring... there could be someone among the Gerudo who's good at that. Good luck! You'll need it... This seems like a real long shot. Oh, and one last wrinkle... Yeah, in accordance with the official, that someone's name must end in "son." If you run into anyone who fits with what I've said, send them to Tarrey Town for me.

Rhondson: Sav'aaq. I'm still considering how to continue my search. I've mastered tailoring... I have dozens of other skills... I just don't understand what vow are looking for... I wonder if there really is someone out there for me...

Link: Go to Tarrey Town!

Rhondson: Eh? What is it? So abrupt, too.. Let me hear the details. Hudson in Tarrey Town needs a tailor? It's something, I suppose... The Akkala region is kinda far away. But maybe I need to travel. Getting far away from the village full of vai... But i9t's not like I'm accomplishing anything by staying here. I can continue my search in Tarrey Town... Thanks for all the information. I'm gonna go home and pack a huge bag. It'll be a long journey all the way there... I'll no doubt see you again in Tarrey Town.

Hudson: Hey. You found someone from the Gerudo. Thank you. She was able to patch every last hole in my work clothes before I could blink. She's pretty...er, amazing! And since her name is Rhondson, I have no objections. I hear she's decided to continue putting her skills to use by opening a clothing shop. You should stop by and say hello. Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: So before more people can move here, we need more homes for them to live in. Can you bring me 30 bundles of wood? If you bring me that, I can combine it with what I've already got and get started on new houses.

Hudson: Hello. Did you bring the 30 bundles of wood?

Link: I brought them!

Hudson: Excellent! Can I have them?

Link: Sure!

Hudson: You're a lifesaver... Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: It's finally starting to look like a town around here. Which is exactly why we need to set up some distribution. I'd like to get a general store up and running, but there's no one with the connections and qualifications to run it. Do you think you could keep an eye out for someone who knows about distribution and can run a general store?

Link: So a traveling trader?

Hudson: Oh, that's a good thought... Rito can fly around, so they should be able to retrieve and deliver supplies. Good luck! You'll need it... This seems like a real long shot. Oh, and one last wrinkle... Yeah, in accordance with the official Bolson Construction policy, that someone's name must end in "son." If you run into anyone that fits with what I've said, send them here to Tarrey Town to me.

Fyson: Hey, what's up? I'm glad Medoh has settled down, but I have bigger problems. My mom said she wants me to take over the family store someday... Can you believe that?! I don't ... want to just "help." I want to open my OWN store and sell whatever I want! But I don't want to compete with Mom. I wish there was a place I could set up my own shop...

Link: Heard of Tarrey Town?

Fyson: Tarrey Town? Tell me more. Oh! So they're in need of a general store. That's perfect! But the Akkala region? That's pretty far out there. But I guess I've got to leave the nest someday. And to have my own store... OK... I made up my mind! I'm going! I know! I'll gather some items on the way to Tarrey Town and then sell them at my new shop... Thanks for the tip! And hey, don't be a stranger. Come visit me at my new home sometime!

Hudson: Hey. You managed to find a Rito and bring him back here. Thank you. He wasted no time getting a general store up and running - apparently his family runs one too. And with a name like Fyson, he'll fit right in! He's selling things he's picked up while flying around. You should really go check out the store. Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: So before we can call more people here, we need even more homes for them. Can you bring me 50 bundles of wood? If you bring me that, I can combine it with what I've already got and get started on new houses.

Hudson: Hello. Did you bring the 50 bundles of wood?

Link: I brought them!

Hudson: Excellent! Can I have them?

Link: Sure!

Hudson: You're a lifesaver... I actually wanted to talk about something a little personal...

Link: What's wrong?

Hudson: Oh, not that kind of personal. Actually, I got engaged.

Link: No way!!

Hudson: It's true!

Link: To who?

Hudson: To Rhondson.

Link: You're a cute couple!

Hudson: Thank you. Anyway, we want to have a little ceremony to celebrate, but we need someone priest-like to officiate. Could you look for someone priest-like for us?

Link: Priest-like, huh...

Hudson: If we're looking for a people devout enough to have a priest-like person... I'd suggest the Zora. Good luck! You'll need it... This seems like a real long shot. Oh, and one last wrinkle... Yeah, in accordance with the official Bolson Construction policy, that someone's name must end in "son." If you run into anyone that fits with what I've said, send them here to Tarrey Town for me.

Kapson: Well, well! It is always nice to have a visitor here. Thank you for journeying to our fair Zora's Domain... Wait a moment... You... You're Link! The perpetrator who forced Lady Mipha to join his crusade 100 years ago, only to be destroyed by Calamity Ganon! As though I could ever forget that face. You should know that the elderly here who loved Lady Mipha still remember.. and they still resent you. I, however, rest the deed and not the person. I also believe in allowing the mistakes of the past to wash away. Link... I have retired from my role as a priest. I am now living my life free from the material concerns of this world. However... Ever since I retired, each day is more boring than the last... Spending day after day in idleness, only to pass from this world soon... Link... As I'm sure you are well aware, the afterlife lays claim to all. We never know when it will beckon. If during your travels you meet any engaged couples, I would like you to introduce them to me. Joining two souls is a true honor, one I shall stake my life on. Just one more wedding...and I shall be fulfilled.

Link: Get a load of this...

Kapson: I have been waiting to hear those words. Now, please tell me the specifics... As for the location... Hmmm... Tarrey Town in Akkala... Akkala isn't too far from here. It would please me to hurry there right away.

Link: By yourself?!

Kapson: No need to worry about me. I have always had confidence in my fins and feet! It has been a long while since I have had work. I am eager to put my skills to good use! You should come as well. I will start my preparations in Tarrey Town in the meantime.

Hudson: Hey. You found a Zora? Thank you... really. He and I talked earlier, and he said that he literally was a priest before he retired. You can't get more priest-like than that. And his name is Kapson, so I have no objections there. It really is amazing that you were able to find someone priest-like who also had an acceptable name... Well, next is...

Link: Uh-huh.

Hudson: Of course we'll have to invite guest in order to hold a ceremony...

Link: Guests?

Hudson: Well, I'm talking about my boss, Bolson and my subordinate, Karson.

Link: I see.

Hudson: However, I've got to prepare for the ceremony, so my hands are full... Could you invite them for me?

Link: Where are they?

Hudson: You know where they are. The boss and Karson are in Hateno Village, right?

Link: I see.

Hudson: Excellent. I'm counting on you.

Link:

Bolson: Hey! Wait. What? Hudson's getting married?! And he wants me to attend the wedding? ...Wow, good on him. Okey-doo. I'm in. Wedding time, baby! Not like there's anything to do here anyway... Well, I guess I'll get packed and head toward Hudson's place.

Link: Please

Bolson: Heh... This'll be fun. Okey-doo... Karson, we're headed out!

Link: Wait.

Bolson: Huh-what? This was your idea! I mean, if you want me to wait, I'll want...

Bolson: Hi! Yeah, I got it. Hudson's wedding ceremony, right? Well, I guess I'll get packed and head toward Hudson's place.

Karson: Finally! We've been waiting for this day!

Hudson: Hey. You extended my invitation for me. Thank you. Now then, Karson and the boss Bolson are waiting for things to begin... Shall we start the ceremony?

Link: Of course!

Hudson: Understood. Then let's going the gathering.

Kapson: *cough cough* *ahem* Silence, please, everyone. We shall now begin. We are gathering here today to join Hudson and Rhondson in matrimony. Hudson... Before the eyes of these witnesses and before those of Goddess Hylia...Do you take Rhondson to be your wife, to have and to hold, in good times and in bad.

Hudson: I do.

Kapson: Excellent. And Rhondson... Before the eyes of these witnesses and before those of Goddess Hylia... Do you take Hudson as your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health? And do you also vow to... name your children in accordance with the Bolson Construction naming guidlines?

Rhondson: Wait a moment, those vows are not traditional by anyone's standards!

Hudson: What makes you say that?

Bolson: They're as traditional as it gets! I don't think she means traditional in that sense of the word.

Fyson: A vow of undying tradition!

Pelison: And a vow of guidelines compliance!

Greyson: I'll take that vow!

Hudson: Think of future generations!

Rhondson:... Well, those are the guidelines... I do.

Kapson: Excellent. *cough cough* And so, dearly beloved, please help me in greeting this newly married couple. I wish this new couple nothing but the utmost happiness as they set out on this journey of marital bliss!

Hudson: Hey. It's you. Thank you for attending the ceremony... *sniff*

Link: Are you crying?

Hudson: What? No. Just something in my eye... And now Tarrey Town looks like a real town at long last. This was all possible because of you. I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you did. All right. This is for you. These were found inside the boulders we smashed when we were clearing land. Rhondson and I have no use for them. You can take them.
