Link has 2 out of 3 hearts remaining in LoZ: BotW.

Hearts represents Link's life (Health/hitpoints/hp) in the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In the User Interface, the number of hearts show up on the top left corner by default.

Link starts with three hearts, and as he takes damage, he loses hearts. When all hearts are gone, Link dies.

Certain items and powers may heal and restore hearts.

How to get more hearts[edit]

To increase your max hearts, you must get Spirit Orbs from Shrines of Trials and then go to the Statue of the Goddess at the Temple of Time. You can trade four Spirit Orbs for either a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel.

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]

  • Depending on the severity of an attack, Link can lose either half a heart, a whole heart, or more.
  • Eating certain food and plants, such as Hylian Shrooms, can restore half or more hearts.
