An Origin Character is a type of pre-made playable character in Divinity: Original Sin 2:
You can choose to play as an Origin Character during Character Creation.
Origin Characters have a rich story background that allows you to experience the full extent of the Divinity' Tag system.
Custom characters don't have origin stories.

- Try choosing an origin character if this is your first playthrough.
- You can still customize origin characters to a certain extent.
- Origin Characters that you don;t choose can later be recruited as a companion.
